My research interests include gender and politics, women's political participation, political institutions and their evolution, and repression. My dissertation focuses on the relationship of repression to dissent in the context of women's protests.
A second line of my research focuses on gendered political rights, particularly women's suffrage. This research agenda examines the individual and institutional contexts in which suffrage is adopted. Working Papers:
